Quincey's 2-19-10
The Parade Route rocked Quincey's with their "sub" drummer, John. It was a good show with the drummer making some noticeable changes. For some reason, it seemed easier to shoot this time. I did not have to really work at avoiding the mirror behind the stage area. The guys really called in some favors. The show started with a decent showing; however, when I turned around at the end, the place was packed! Fans had been missing their requirements of Parade Route!

I like how well Stephen photographed with his purple shirt. It makes him stand out against the drabness of the bar.

You could tell Russ was glad to be back on stage after a too long hiatus. He played and the joy was seen as well as heard. You can tell he was having fun by the faces he made.

Jon was difficult to photograph. He gets on stage and does his job. No funny business. I'll have to work at getting some good shots if he continues to fill in while the Parade Route searches for a drummer.

NVS March Challenge!
All right, I know some of you have been thinking about doing this and just haven't done it yet! Now is your time!! Take a look at this collage -

Look at the colors. Look at the sparkles. Doesn't it look glamorous and lovely? Couldn't you use it to find some inspiration??
Here's my take -

I loved the blue and green colors and I just latched onto the sparkly heart purse. I only wished I had a little lipstick charm to add to my layout.
THE DEAL!! Get your creative juices flowing because you want to participate! This month, if you win, you get to spend $20 at generations crafting. Wow! All you have to do is make a layout using the collage as inspiration and post it at Nerdy Victorious Scrapbookers.
AND...The person that won my drawing never responded, so I have a box of new in package scrap goodies looking for a home. So, to make the deal even sweeter, post here that you entered a layout and next month I'll draw a winner from that group to win such supplies as: Jenni Bowlin rub-on, Maya road mini album, Bo bunny cool clipz, imaginisce blossoms and possibly more! I'll add something else for each person that posts here!

NVS February Challenge!
You're going to love the new February Collage over at Nerdy Victorious Scrapbookers. It has very vibrant colors and lots of inspiration.

When I first saw it, I kinda freaked out. What was I going to do with this?? But, I ran with it when I finally thought of my friend Sara's tatoo! I showed up at her place for dinner with my camera in hand. I told her I needed pictures of her in stripper shoes. She was very leery, especially after the husband followed that comment with "for the internet". But of course, she played right along by allowing me to search her shoe collection and lying on the floor for a photo shoot. Thanks Sara!! I went a little crazy with the stickles, but I think the layout and the busyness of it portrays Sara well. I was disappointed with the picture when I scrapped it. It really wanted to be sideways, but the tatoo looked better right side up. I decided on the latter because that was my focus for this layout.

Now that you've seen the collage and my inspiration, get your creative juices flowing and submit links to enter to win $20 or more of scrappy supplies!!

Blue Moon Vintage challenge
I made this layout for the bluemoon challenge. You are supposed to use the basic grey doilies, which worked out perfect because the Jenni Bowlin kit contained one!

The picture is of me, my sister and two cousins. We were all grandma's grandkids at the time. It was taken sometime in the 80s. She used to take us to get a photo taken every year. There are many more grandkids and great grands now, but we haven't had a photo in awhile. I think this one was actually in my dad's wallet for quite some time.

There is hidden journaling under the label sticker. It pulls out and has cardstock attatched.

Supplies:
Basicgrey nook & pantry bundt pan
Basicgrey nook & pantry fruit salad
Basicgrey nook & pantry placemats
Basicgrey Doilies
Maya Road corduroy blossom
American Crafts velvet alphabet stickers
Making memories brown ledger tiny alphas
Coredinations cardstock
Studio Calico dollhouse home front
Bazzill red cardstock
Jenni Bowlin pp
colorbox chestnut roan chalk ink
October afternoon farm fresh label sticker
wool string - vintage

xoxo challenge number 2

I was really interested in Sarah Nolan's "almost 28" layout. I love the use of the circle patterned paper and the bight colors on the black just made the picture stand out. I kept coming to her page wondering what inspiration I could take from it.

I searched my stash for a circle piece of patterned paper and could not find any. I found a squarish one and decided to use that. I had just gotten the film strip ribbon and really wanted to use that too. I was very happy with how the page turned out except for one part; I don't like that the date circle is black. Unfortuenately it was the only one I had. I tried other ways to do the date and just didn't liek any of them.

Supplies: Jenni Bowlin Front Porch patterned paper, Lemonade patterned paper, Green cross hatch patterned paper, cardstock, Journaling card and date spot. Kaiser pearls. Tim Holtz film strip riboon. Topline creations rub-on. Making Memories foiling and flocking kit (red flock). American crafts pen. Basic Grey Marrakech letter stickers. Letter beads from stash.

********don't forget last day to enter the NVS challenge is tomorrow so get those layouts uploaded!!
Also, on Monday I will be picking someone from my followers to receive a box of scrap goodies!**********
